The No Name Poet

I am but a mere poet, wielding our greatest gifts as humans: words.

Money Crushes

People go to fancy restaurants and eat nice food
While I sit alone hungry wishing I understood
Why my jobs aren’t enough
Why I always have to be tough
Why am I always in these conditions rough
While everyone else gets to do what they love
Meanwhile I can’t even afford a doctor
Or basic nutritional needs from the store
It leaves me desperate and just taking a drink
The influence of alcohol just helps my heart sink
While I cough and grow things all over my arm
Wondering if they’re going to fatally harm
Me. Meanwhile my bills pile up on the table
I see them everyday, paying them? I’m barely able
By the aid of 3 jobs and some welfare
Sometimes I just sit around with a blank stare
Asking when this gets easy
When the rich can stop being greedy
And I can stop being poor
And life becomes something more

Nothingness

I have every kind of problem left and right
And it makes me wonder what I have in life
A bunch of health problems I can’t afford
Bills I can’t pay galore. Why am I in this world?
I have friends but I can’t get close
Why, you ask? The hell if I know
What do I have have in life?
I guess just have the poems I write
Do they suck? Maybe
But it’s the best art to come out of me

The Dirty Man

I am the dirty man on the side of the road
Whose painful story goes completely unknown
“Kids stay away from him, his mind is out of control”
That’s because I have been left here to die alone
Like a broken toy or a stray cat
I sit and watch rich people become far too fat
You’re getting obese while I starve to death
Are you fucking kidding? Seriously, what the heck?
Maybe if you stopped and acknowledged me, I’d understand
But no one does, so now I have to go kill a man
Take the money from his incapable hands
I have no power so this is how I take a stand
Change? That isn’t easy for humans.

Funny Politics Part Six

......0Free-Speech

Government by the people, but only if you’re rich
If you’re not then stay stuck in your proverbial ditch
There’s no need to pay attention to what you say
When we’re getting more money and power everyday

Idiotic People

I’m tired of idiotic people all around me
Complaining you’re fat but you won’t eat a salad
Getting food stamps but you copped the new Jordans
No worries dumbass, not like your son’s starving
And being rich really doesn’t make you no better
I mean, sure, it might make a few girls wetter.
But life is about the impact you make on someone
Is partying all night with strangers even fun?
